Ottawa 67’s defeat Sudbury Wolves 4-3 in shootout

Taylor Fielding’s goal in the fourth round of a shootout lifted the 67’s to a 4-3 road win over the Sudbury Wolves on Saturday night.

Sean Monahan scored twice in regulation, while Ryan Van Stralen had the other Ottawa goal as the 67’s built a 3-1 lead early in the third period before the Wolves stormed back. Ottawa goalie Keegan Wilson stopped 41-of-44 shots through regulation and overtime.

The victory gives the 67’s (6-8-0-2) a sweep of their northern trip — which included a 6-1 decision in Sault Ste. Marie Friday — and back-to-back wins for the first time this season. They next host Kingston on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
